We enjoy a scenic route crossing from the Nossob River to the Auob River, and a final three nights camped on a saltpan at the beautiful Mabuasehube Game Reserve. This safari requires a minimum of 4 passengers. The price includes the flight Johannesburg to Upington and Hotazel to Johannesburg.

This safari starts from and ends in Johannesburg

Day 1: Depart Johannesburg International airport on scheduled flight to Upington, where you will be met by a representative. Drive towards border at Bokspits. Lunch en route. Once in Botswana our route takes us along the Auob River on the Northern or Southern dune road. We reach our camp at Rooiputs in the late afternoon.

Day 2: Leave for Rooiputs, which is approximately 250km on good gravel roads to arrive at camp in time for lunch. Our afternoon game drive takes us along the Aoub River on the Northern or Southern dune road. Overnight Rooiputs in Botswana.

Day 3: An option of a full days game drive to Unions End (recommended), or an early turn around to have brunch in camp. Depending on the morning's activity there will be a short afternoon game drive. The supply vehicle will drive back to Nossob to fill up with the last petrol available until Tsabong, also with enough water for two days until we reach Mabuasehube. We camp a second night at Polentswa.

Day 4: We take the wilderness trail to Setatchwe pan. The area does not boast a lot of game, but is nonetheless interesting. We stop for lunch along the route and set up camp on arrival at the pan. Sundowners on the dunes overlooking the pan in this remote area. We camp at Setatchwe Pan.

Day 5: After breakfast we pick up and start our journey for approximately 150kms on the cutline to Mabuasehube Game Reserve. Lunch stop en route. A short afternoon game drive to Mpaathutlwa pan, passing the Game Scouts Camp, where water can be collected and formalities dealt with after which we take a game drive around the pan. The Mabuasehube Game Scouts usually have a good idea where the majority of game can be found. Overnight Mabuasehube Game Reserve.

Day 6: Early morning game drive takes us pass Khiding and Mpaathutlwa pan, back to Mabuasehube pan in time for brunch. A late afternoon game drive around Mabuasehube pan, or if there is little game in the areas we visit adjoining pans in search of Kalahari game. Overnight Mabuasehube Game Reserve.

Day 7: A morning game drive passes the myriad of pans (the Monomodi Pans) to the east of Mabuasehube pan, arriving back in camp for brunch. Afternoon game drive to Leshoalogo Pan. Sundowners around the campfire before dinner. Overnight Mabuasehube Game Reserve.

Day 8: Leave Mabuasehube driving passed Bosobogolo pans, arriving late morning at Tsabong where we will fill up with petrol and head for the border. Lunch will be in South Africa en route to Hotazel. At about 16h00 a charter flight will take you to Johannesburg International airport.
