A chance to visit the western side of the Delta, and enjoy a mokoro trail on a beautiful stretch of the Okavango River. The option of a day's visit to view Bushman rock art at Tsodilo Hills. Our route takes us for a two night stop on Namibia's Caprivi Strip and on to reach Victoria Falls to spend two exciting days before returning to Botswana. We travel leisurely through Chobe National Park, Savuti, and Moremi Wildlife Reserve before returning to Maun.

This safari starts and ends in Maun.
Day 1: Depart Johannesburg International Airport on Air Botswana's flight to Maun, Gateway to the Okavango. Staff will meet the group and our journey starts up the west side of the Delta to arrive in the afternoon at a lagoon. We camp at Makwena campsite on the Okavango River. Overnight Makwena campsite.
Day 2: After a short motor boat transfer to Mokoro Island, you spend a full day in the tranquil waters of the Okavango, moving along papyrus fringed channels with your poler. A game walk is included during the day. A packed lunch is provided. Return to campsite for dinner. Overnight Makwena campsite.
Day 3: Before leaving for Shakawe we visit Etsha village where traditional baskets catch the eye of the discerning buyer. We arrive at Drotsky's campsite in the afternoon. The Okavango River is at its widest in this area and a walk down to the river from the campsite offers the opportunity of birdwatching. An abundance of birdlife nest in the high papyrus fringing the river's edge and we look out for the shy Sitatunga, the antelope who live here, and feed off the papyrus. Overnight Shakawe campsite.
Day 4: Spend a leisurely relaxed day along the Okavango River. A choice of two optional activities** are available - An early start to leave on the rough road to Tsodilo Hills to view an interesting and prolific collection of Bushmen paintings or a morning's boating on the Okavango River. Sundowners back at Our camp around the campfire before dinner is served. Overnight Shakawe campsite. **(Bookings for above activities should be made in advance.)
Day 5 and 6: We cross the border onto Namibia's Caprivi Strip, and travel along the western banks of the Kwando River to the unknown campsite of Nambwa situated south of Fort Dampies on an upper island of the Omwanbas River floodplains. The river runs in an easterly direction to drain on to the floodplains and the region attracts good game and is rich in birdlife. Two days at Nambwa Camp provides us with quiet relaxation in a wilderness area which offers a beautiful meandering river system to be found nowhere else. Overnight two nights at Nambwa Camp on an Island on the Omwanbas River floodplains - Caprivi.
Day 7: After a leisurely breakfast our route takes us to the eastern Caprivi with a lunch stop err route. Arrive in the afternoon to set up camp at a scenic campsite along the Zambezi River. Relax and enjoy the sounds of the river. Overnight Zambezi campsite.
Day 8: After breakfast, we leave Namibia to re-enter Botswana at Ngoma Gate. We cross the border at Kazungula. An hour's drive takes us to view the majestic Victoria Falls after which we take you to your lodge for a late lunch. Move into rooms and relax. Later vou can take one of the walking trails in and around the lodge or down to the gorge. Sundowners at the bodge's bar before a delicious dinner. Overnight in lodge accommodation on full board basis.
Day 9: After a leisurely breakfast you will have opportunity to enjoy a number of optional excursions, or you may preferring to explore the Falls again at leisure. We return to our lodge in the late afternoon. Overnight in lodge accommodation on full board basis.

* A full day or half day's exhilarating white water rafting on he gorges below the Falls.
* A full day or half day's canoeing and walking trails on the Upper Zambezi.
* Afternoon cruise on the Zambezi River
* A visit to a traditional village.
* Microlighting or a helicopter flight over the Zambezi
Day 10: We depart after breakfast to return to Botswana. Our route takes through Kasane and into Chobe National Park, After a relaxed lunch an afternoon game drive along the Chobe River. We should see the breeding herds of elephant and large herds of buffalo for which this park is famous, Sunset from a lookout point over the Chobe brings the day to a close. Camp along Chobe River in exclusive wilderness area.
Day 11: Rise with the dawn to enjoy an early morning game drive along the Chobe River. We leave Chobe National Park and our route traverses forest reserves and traditional Botswana villages to finally reach the south western region of this park. We stop for a bush lunch en route and arrive at our campsite in Savuti in the afternoon. Overnight Savuti in exclusive wilderness area.
Day 12: Savuti is one of Africa's most densely populated predator areas, and well known for its bull elephant. The Savuti waterhole offers an ever changing spectacle of birds and wildlife. We explore this region on our morning and afternoon game drives. leisure time during the day. Overnight Savuti in exclusive wilderness area.
Day 13: Our morning game drive takes us out of Savuti past the grassy plains of the Mababe Depression. We head south on an interesting day's drive, to enter Moremi Game Reserve at North Gate on the Kwai River. Lunch is served er route. Camp is set up within, sight of the Kwai River. Camp near Kwai River in exclusive wilderness area.
Day 14: An early start to explore the Kwai River before returning to camp for breakfast after which we take an interesting riverine route through Moremi Game Reserve to the Xaxanaka lagoons, stopping for lunch en route. Camp near Xaxanaka in exclusive wilderness area.
Day 15: Early morning coffee or tea, and we set off on a full morning's game drive to return to camp at 11h00 for a delicious brunch. Time now to shower, rest and relax. Afternoon boating excursion on the Xaxanaka Lagoons takes us down the papyrus fringed channels of the eastern delta which are prolific in birdlife. Camp near Xaxanaka in exclusive wilderness area.
Day 16: An early breakfast before we depart on our return journey travelling through traditional villages to reach Maun. Packed lunch en route. We take you to Maun Airport for outbound flight on Air Botswana to International Airport
