Limpopo Valley Horse Safaris

Upon your arrival at Mashatu Tuli Airstrip at 12h00, a Mashatu Game guide will be waiting to transfer you to Mashatu Tented camp where you will be based for the duration of your stay. From there all safaris will operate, leaving early hours of the morning and returning back to camp in the afternoon.  

You will be woken at sunrise to the early morning excitement of the birds. Breakfast will be served at Tented camp where you will then be transferred to Fort Jameson to go and meet your trusty steed.

 

The morning ride will take you through areas of historical importance eg; the old Zeederburg route as well as an old Boer-war site. We will be riding on large open plains, which allows for exhilarating riding with wildebeest and zebras.

 At lunch the horses will be tethered up and you will be served a well-earned meal, after which you will head on back to camp where the staff of Mashatu tented camp will be awaiting your arrival and preparing for the afternoon/evening game drive, where you will be treated to the exciting nightlife of the bush

 

Each day you will head out in a different direction, covering large areas of the Tuli circle, exploring the land and its wonderful game.

 

The Limpopo Valley Horse safari can be from a one day to as many days as you like, all year round. This is ideal for that single traveller should there be no Tuli safari available. This is your personal itinerary safari and is for those that prefer the luxury of the tented camp.

Riding Safaris from Mashatu Tented Camp

cost £215.00 per person sharing per night, fully inclusive 

Air Transfers available every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Johannesburg

costing £190.00 per person return.

You can extend your stay at the Mashatu Main Lodge.
