A unique wilderness experience at Abu Camp, located within our half-million acre private concession, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. The heart and soul of Abu Camp are its elephants. Abu leads a herd of fifteen African elephants, comprising six adults and a 'Brat Pack' of nine youngsters. This elephant family is the focus of full-day and half-day elephant back safaris. Abu Camp has elaborated this lifestyle into a series of dreamlike adventures, simple dawn and sunset rambles or day-long outings across the floodplains in the company of Africa's finest travelling companions. There is no better way of interacting with the wilderness and wildlife of the Delta.

Safari starts in Maun, Botswana on Wednesdays and finishes on Mondays.

There is a new arrival at Abu with 'Pula'. Born on 27th of November 2000, Pula has become a confident and playful member of the family and is currently developing his vocal chores communicating with other members of the herd. He spends his days grazing and enjoying frequent mudbaths and continues to be extreamly curious about everything and everyone that he meets.
