Elephant Point Safari Camp, Lake Kariba.
Situated on the quiet and remote areas of the Sibilobilo lagoon lies Elephant Point Safari Camp. The ultimate setting for "timeless Africa" the camp invites guest to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Lake Kariba at its best.

Seven raised platforms each with its own chalet all under canvas are built out from gentle hillside overlooking the lagoon. Slightly higher up the slope is the main bar and dining area allowing unlimited views. The setting is stunning.Add to that a delightful swimming pool to bask away at during the heat of the day and the camp becomes possibly the most worthwhile prospect when visiting Lake Kariba.
The activities from Elephant Point include walking, boating, driving, canoeing, fishing and visits to local Tonga village across the bay.
The wildlife viewing is excellent with good Elephant populations, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, herts of Sable, Zebra and Waterbuck, many Hippo, Kudu and numerous other mammals. The birdlife is prolific with the most ideal habitat in the Sibilobilo river estuary. A well kept secret of the area is its location as an excellent tiger fishing spot.
Seldom from Elephant Point do you see other people aside from those sharing the experience with you from camp and the local Tonga fishermen seen in their little row boats. This coupled with the excellent cuisine and homely hospitality make Elephant Point and excellent safari destination.
Transfers (flight) to and from Kariba cost £115.00 per person return.
Recommended length of stay is 3 or more nights.
