Coach Tour of Namibia

Departs on one Wednesday a month throughout the year on a Coach Tour

Starts and Ends in Windhoek for 10 days / 9 nights

 

It is advisable to arrive on Tuesday at the latest and have

at least one night in Windhoek to relax before your safari starts.

 

 

DAY 1 - WEDNESDAY - SESRIEM

You are collected from one of the three major city hotels. Depart approximately 08h30 and travel via Garnsberg Pass. Arrive Namib Naukluft Park late afternoon. Overnight at Sossusvlei Lodge.

 

DAY 2 - THURSDAY - SESRIEM

Early morning excursion to the Sesriem Canyon and the famous Sossusvlei. The afternoon is spent at leisure. Overnight at Sossusvlei Lodge.

 

DAY 3 - FRIDAY - SWAKOPMUND

Continue through the Kuiseb Canyon into the central Namib to see Welwitschia plants and the Moon Valley. Picnic lunch. Arrive Swakopmund late afternoon. Overnight at Hansa Hotel.

 

DAY 4 - SATURDAY - SWAKOPMUND

Full day at leisure to explore the historic town of Swakopmund or choose Optional excursions (advance booking is required, minimum of 2 participants). Overnight at Hansa Hotel.

 

DAY 5 - SUNDAY - DAMARALAND

Proceed to the Cape Cross Seal Reserve for sightseeing. After lunch in Henties Bay, continue to Damaraland. Overnight at Vingerklip Lodge.

 

DAY 6 - MONDAY - OUTJO

Visit Twyfelfontein, the Burnt Mountain, the Organ Pipes and the Petrified Forest. Picnic lunch. Proceed to Outjo. Overnight at Toshari Inn.

 

DAY 7 - TUESDAY - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Continue to the Etosha National Park where the remainder of the day is spent on game drives. Overnight at Rest Camp.

 

DAY 8 - WEDNESDAY - ETOSHA REGION

Full day game viewing on the route east, interrupted only by lunch in one of the rest camps. Leave the park in the late afternoon and check-in at the nearby lodge. Overnight at Mokuti Lodge.

 

DAY 9 - THURSDAY - OTJIWARONGO

Game drive in the morning. Continue to Otjiwarongo. Overnight at Otjibamba Lodge.

 

DAY 10 - DEPART

Travel south and reach the Ombo Ostrich Farm near Okahandja, sightseeing tour and a light lunch. Return to Windhoek, where the tour ends. Onward airport transfers for flight departures after 19h00 only.

 

The safari includes all meals throughout the tour of Namibia with some Lunches being taken en-route, i.e a picnic lunch.

Inclusive of: Transport; services of a professional safari leader; meals (as specified) entrance fees, game drives and activities; all accommodation on a twin share basis.

Excludes: Flights to from and any within Africa. Airport Tax. Visa costs. Insurance and any items of a personal nature.
