ORYX SAFARI HIGHLIGHTS Discovering Namibia is a captivating experience. Venture into a world of changing scenery, vast unspoilt wilderness, with its cosmopolitan atmosphere and people. We explore Namibia's attractions using a diverse itinerary, including the central area with the Namib Desert (Sesriem and Naukluft) and the northern area with the famous Etosha National Park and other regions not normally visited by the ordinary tourist. DAY 1: WINDHOEK Windhoek, with its novel scenery of German architecture, activities and atmosphere is a city which can be visited throughout the year. The day is spent at leisure. DAY 2: WATERBERG PLATEAU PARK Namibia is a land of striking contrasts, and one of such contrasts is the Table Mountain of the Waterberg Plateau Park abruptly rising hundreds of metres above the surrounding plains.
DAY 3/4/5/6: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK This park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa. The pan itself is a vast shallow depression 139km by 5Okm. Thousands of wild animals such as blue wildebeest, springbok, zebra kudu, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, lion, elephant, etc. are attracted to the area. The birdlife is prolific with 326 recorded species. We relax around the swimming pool and enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives.
DAY 7/8: DAMARALAND The Damaraland is a vast and rugged terrain. Its mountain ranges are intercepted by wide gravel plains which run into sandy' vegetated riverbeds and hot, dry valleys.
