Malawi known as "The warm heart of Africa" is a scenic , enchanting place. It's greatest asset is its people - renowned for their warm hospitality. The Lakeshore areas have a low rainfall, and a warm relaxing climate.

The highland areas have greater temperature changes, and the air is bracing. The nights can be cold. The dry seasons is in winter, between May and October, with rain intermittent during the remaining months. It is a land-locked country and the dominant feature being Lake Malawi which lies at the southernmost point of the Great Rift Valley.

Here, along the palm-fringed shore, one can relax and enjoy the long and lazy days, the clear, fresh water is safe for swimming and watersports are enjoyed year round, and equipment is available for hire at all resorts. Lake Malawi is set among rolling hills, some rising steeply from the water, and covered in tropical vegetation. The largest of Malawi's national parks and nature reserves, home of a large variety of wildlife, are situated in the Central and Northern Regions.

Liwonda National Park is one of the finest wildlife reserves in Malawi and it incorporates the huge Shire River which winds along the floor of the Rift Valley. The Reserve includes a diversity of habitats - the broadriver, quiet backwaters and lagoons, marshes, open savannahs, woodlands and hills.

Here a great diversity of plant and animal life occur. For climber and non-climber alike, Mount Mulanje has an indefinable attraction. Mount Mulanje rises to 3000m. On its steep slopes grow stands of the unique Mulanje cedar, some of which have been known to exceed 200 years in age. Other popular tourist destinations include : Zomba Mountain, Kasungu National Park, Vwaza Marsh and Blantyre.
