It is a perfect base for your daily game drives into the crater where some of the last black rhino are protected, black mained lions stalk the grass lands, and the greatest permanent concentration of game in Africa lies waiting for you. The camp is all canvas and is designed and sited to harmonise with the natural surroundings whilst offering the highest standards of comfort and service. Located on one of the Kirawira range of hills in the western corridor of the Serengeti, the camp overlooks, in the near distance, the famous Grumeti River and, some distance beyond, Speake's Bay. Daily activities include morning and afternoon game drives and guided game and bird walks with local guides who have expert knowledge of tracking and game movement. Overnight at Kirawira Tented Camp on full board basis, inclusive of beverages and laundry.

On arrival in Selous transfer to Sand Rivers Lodge. The lodge stands out on a rocky outcrop beside the Rufiji River, in the north of the Selous. Secluded cottages, constructed from local materials and trees felled by the elephants, lie along the river bank, providing exclusive accommodation. All game drives in open 4x4, walking safaris, bush breakfasts, river and fishing trips are accompanied by a knowledgeable and experienced armed guide. The Selous boasts an impressive variety of game, birdlife and wildflowers and remains one of the last unspoilt game country in the world. Overnight at Sand Rivers Lodge on full board basis.

DAY10-11 RUAHA - mwagusi safari camp

The variety is amazing and there are also large herds of elephant, buffalo and predators aplenty. On arrival you will be transferred to Mwagusi Safari Camp. The camp looks out over the dry bed of a sand river where animals come to dig for water. Your first game drive takes you out into the amazing variety of habitat - Mlombo woodland, Acacia Tortills, rough hilly terrain, grassy plains, stunning granite ridges and the sand river bed. Extremely knowledgeable guides may offer English, Latin and local names for fauna and flora and will also accompany you on game and bird walks. Overnight on full board basis at Mwagusi Safari Camp.

You will stay in one of only seven luxurious and stunningly beautiful twin bedded bungalows nestled in the forest and facing the turquoise-blue ocean, and sleep under the dramatically soaring palm-thatched roof.
