11 Day Classic Uganda

Gorillas, Chimps, Wildlife and Birds !

The program is designed for those who are interested to see the key places of South - Western Uganda : Kibale Forest NP, Queen Elisabeth NP (North & South), Kyambura WR, Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Although it's proposed to be combined and to be extended with an additional trip (Magnetic Uganda), it remains attractive for the active ones who would like to see as much as possible of Uganda's beauty. With its exclusive camping comfort, the program is not only designed for the younger generation, but also for all those who enjoy camping and are open to nature and soft adventure.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport, probably the friendliest in Africa, meet and greet by our staff . Transfer to Kisubi, base camp of Magic Safaris on the shores of Lake Victoria. Briefing & BBQ around the campfire, overnight.

Day 2: After brunch departure to Kibale Forest NP. Arrival in the late afternoon. After diner a guided nature walk in the forest in search of the nightlife. We camp at the edge of the jungle.

Day 3: After breakfast, guided nature walk in the forest in search of the chimpanzees. In the afternoon, we explore the region of the crater lakes. Camping will be at the same place.

Day 4: After breakfast, a bird watching session at the Bigodi swamps or another guided walk in the forest. After lunch departure for Mweya QENP- North. In the late afternoon, a boat trip up the Kazinga Channel, a natural canal between lake Edward and Lake George. Camping at Mweya, with a view of the channel.

Day 5: Wake up early in the morning for a game drive at Uganda Kob mating ground. Lunch at Maramagambo Forest. We visit the bat and hunters cave in the forest. Late afternoon game drive. Overnight at the same place.

Day 6: We leave in the morning for a chimpanzee excursion in the Kyambura WR. After lunch, transfer to Ishasha, QENP - South. Late afternoon game drives in search of the tree-climbing lions. We camp in company of the hippos.

Day 7: We wake up early, game drive in search of the tree-climbing lions. Lunch at the camp. In the afternoon another game drive and in the late afternoon transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. We camp at the edge of the rainforest.

Day 8: After breakfast, gorilla trekking (this trek is included in the safari costs) in Bwindi Impenetrable NP. In the afternoon we take one of the five trails for a nature walk in the rainforest. We camp at the same place.

Day 9: After breakfast, another gorilla trekking (if booked in advance, costs an additional £179.00 per person) or a guided nature walk in the Forest. After lunch, departure for Lake Bunyonyi. Overnight at Bushara Island.

Day 10: After breakfast, different options: a relaxing moment at the lake (swimming, sunbathing, canoeing) or a visit at Mukoni village. In the afternoon we drive back to Kisubi, overnight at our base camp.

Day 11: Early in the morning, we explore by canoe Mabamba Wetlands an Important Bird Area (IBA) on the shores of Lake Victoria. Lunch at Mpanga Forest. After a guided forest walk we come back at our base camp, overnight or transfer to Entebbe airport.

5 Day Magnetic Uganda

Wildlife, Chimps and Birds !

 

This is an extension to the largest national park of Uganda wich is one of the most exciting places to be visited. En route to the falls, the Budongo Forest has one of the most varied faunas of any forest in East-Africa with the largest wild chimpanzee population as well. A must for birdwatchers. This extension with its exclusive camping style, is also a perfect way to finish your safari, at Kisubi one of the most beautifull places on the shores of Lake Victioria.

Day 1: Departure early in the morning for Murchinson Falls NP. Lunch at Masindi. We arrive in the afternoon. We explore the surroundings and we camp in the park.

Day 2: An early morning game drive. Afterwards we will explore the North of the Nile and make a boat cruise upstream to the falls. Another game drive in the late afternoon.

Day 3 : After an early morning game drive, we visit the top of the Falls and leave for Budongo Forest , Kanyiyo Pabidi, for a nature walk along the Royal Mile. We camp at the edge of the most extensive mahogony forest of East-Africa.

Day 4: In the morning we go for a chimpanzee trekking and we leave afterwards for Kampala. Late in the afternoon we arrive in Kisubi, our base camp for an overnight.

Day 5 : We wake up whenever we want and have a breakfast. This will be a quiet day on Lake Victoria: a little sunbathing, canoeing or just a good time for doing nothing.

For the active ones :

- a visit by canoe of Lutembe bay (IBA)

- a guided visit to Kampala (Kasubi Tombs and the Market)

Transfer to Entebbe Airport.
