NIGHT ZAMBIAN EXPLORER
Victoria Falls - Lochinvar
National Park - South Luangwa Valley
Days 1 & 2: Victoria Falls
at Sussi & Chuma Luxury Lodge
Our Lodge is situated on the northern
edge of the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park, where luxurious tree houses hide
discreetly amongst giant ebony trees on a sweeping bend of the Zambezi
River. During the next two days your activities will include: game drives/walks
with experienced guides, visits to the Falls themselves and as optional
extras, a choice of all the ‘adrenaline’ activities for which the Falls
area is famous.

Day 3: Lochinvar National Park
at Lechwe Plains luxury Camp
Depart by private charter to the magnificent World Heritage Wetlands site
of Lochinvar National Park. The transfer takes approximately 30 mins.
Each individual tent has all the comforts and privacy you require. From
here you can explore the vast wetlands noted for thousands of endemic
Kafue lechwe. Buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and oribi graze the shoreline
and surrounding grassy plains. However the real drawcard is the birdlife;
it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise with 428 recorded species ranging from the
flamboyant flamingo and pelican through a boggling array of waterfowl
and waders to over 50 species of raptors. The sight of these huge flocks
dipping and swooping in a continual wave over the water is not to be forgotten.

Day 4: Lochinvar National Park
at Lechwe Plains Luxury Camp
A fresh day for further exploration of the floodplains and surrounds.
You may choose to visit other places of interest such as the Gwisho hotsprings
and Sebanzi Hill, the site of Stone Age habitation and a later Iron Age
village.
Day 5: South Luangwa National
Park at Chichele Presidential Lodge
Depart after breakfast by private charter to Lusaka International Airport
for your 1- hour flight to Mfuwe (South Luangwa National Park). The ground
transfer from Mfuwe to Chichele Lodge is a game drive in iself, and lasts
approximately 1 hour. Chichele Presidential Lodge is situated on a magnificent
hilltop site with sumptuous, air-conditioned accommodation. A turn-of-the
century hunting lodge atmosphere completes the picture.

Experts have called South Luangwa one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries
in the world, not surprisingly since the concentrations of game around
the Luangwa River and its ox-bow lagoons are dramatic. In addition the
topography of the area make it ideal for walking safaris allowing guests
to explore the river and its tributaries in the care of an experienced
guide. The Park is noted for its big game species particularly leopard,
lion and elephant and a whole host of antelope species.

Days 6 & 7: South Luangwa National
Park at Chichele Presidential Lodge
Two more exciting days spent exploring this very special wildlife sanctuary
- either on foot with or in a safari vehicle.

Day 8: Transfer back to Mfuwe
for your flight to Lusaka International Airport and onward connections.
