RAS NUNGWI BEACH HOTEL

Located on an expanse of beautiful beach wilderness on the northern tip
of Zanzibar, and protected by a coral reef, Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel is
an ideal location for all forms of watersport, or merely relaxing in the
temperate water while soaking up the equatorial sun.

The hotel is built from hand-cut fossilised coral limestone and other natural materials, and literally blends into the landscape. Our vision is for the hotel and nature to coexist harmoniously so that guests can enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings without forsaking too many comforts. An eco-sensitive approach has ensured that the delicate balance of the land and sea flora and fauna have been preserved. The proximity and variety of the surrounding reefs makes Ras Nungwi the perfect diving destination, and the hotel has an on-site fully equipped dive centre, professionally run to international PADI standards.

Dive adventures are available for all experience levels including beginners who can be trained to full PADI certification by our resident instructor. A wide range of other watersports is also available.

Ras Nungwi Lodge external and internal pictures Lodge rooms have a garden view and all types of chalet room have a sea view, with proximity to the ocean being closer the higher the category.

Superior chalet rooms have air-conditioning , rather than the standard ceiling fan, while four superior deluxe chalet rooms also have a mini-bar and other extras ideal for honeymooners or guests simply wanting the best.

The unspoilt beach at Ras Nungwi is arguably the best on Zanzibar, and the nearby coral reef yields a beautiful lagoon. Low tides reveal sparkling white coral sand bars, and rock pools teeming with marine life. Guests can also enjoy the hotel's fresh-water swimming pool, with stunning vistas of the Indian Ocean.

The main beach area allows easy access to the hotel's swimming pool, watersports centre and masseuse. Beach attendants are on hand to provide you with towels, sun-loungers and refreshments from the bar.
